At Blume Maternity Care, our collaborative team provides high-quality and evidence-based maternity care services that is based on the midwifery model of practice throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Our team is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all individuals and families — we eagerly look forward to welcoming you into our care! Our team currently offers prenatal, labour, birth, and postpartum midwifery care for families living in Surrey, BC and residing in nearby communities.
We provide comprehensive prenatal care, including regular checkups, monitoring you and your baby’s health, ordering routine ultrasounds and blood work, and providing education to help you feel informed and confident throughout your pregnancy. Our team also attends hospital births at Surrey Memorial Hospital, supporting you throughout labour and delivery.
We also offer personalized postpartum care for you and your newborn during the first 6 weeks after birth. During this time, we check in on your physical healing, support infant feeding (whether you choose to breastfeed, chestfeed, or bottle-feed), guide you through newborn care, and are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

What Is a Midwife?
In British Columbia, Registered Midwives (RM) are licensed and highly trained primary care providers — similar to family doctors and nurse practitioners — but what makes us unique is that we are trained to provide care during pregnancy, birth, and the first 6 weeks after birth.
Our Registered Midwives (RM) are all licensed through the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and we follow their standards and guidelines in order to provide safe and evidence-based care to families. When you're in the care of a midwife, you're in the hands of a trusted healthcare professional who is here to support you and your growing family, every step of the way!
